Boveda 2-way 62% humidity pack – 8 grams (good for up to 30 grams)
Forget the slice of bread or wet paper towel. Boveda has revolutionized cannabis storage. Boveda has been exploding in the industry because of what it does to cannabis – unlocks smell, color, flavor and texture of your cannabis and allows it to burn cooler.
Boveda has become a staple in dispensaries and personal storage because you can now store cannabis indefinitely. Yes, really. As long as you have a Boveda with life in it (it’s time for replacement when you can’t bend it in half anymore) you can keep perfectly stored cannabis forever. And since Boveda enhances the quality of cannabis, it’s the first time you can reliably age cannabis like you would a wine or cigar.
Until Boveda, ambient temperature and humidity affected moisture inside packing. Boveda’s patented 2-way humidity control continually responds to ambient conditions by adding or removing moisture to affect the packaged environment and deliver the pre-determined RH (relative humidity). Boveda can’t over-humidify your buds. Using more Boveda than you need just means it will last longer because it doesn’t have to work so hard.) Your cannabis will be kept in tip top shape. You will not be disappointed.
- Absorbs excess humidity if needed
- Won’t over-humidify, preventing mold
- Emits purified water vapor
- No maintenance or refilling
How do I know when to replace the pack?
You know it is time to replace the boveda pack when it is no longer soft. Lasts approximately 3 months (conditions depending). Always store your packs in a small sealed container to ensure it doesn’t prematurely dry out.
Top Benefits of using Bovedas
Protect terpenes with the global leader in 2-way humidity control. Place Boveda in packaging and/or storage for precise Relative Humidity (RH) to protect all the good stuff (terpenes, cannabinoids and flavonoids).
All-natural salts and purified water inside keep terpenes protected for 2-4 months in airtight containers. Just place in a container with up to 1 oz (28 g). Replace when Boveda is rigid.
Preserves the aroma, flavor and effectiveness until after the grind. Boveda creates a monolayer of purified water molecules that naturally coats trichomes to shield terpenes and cannabinoids preserving the smell until use.
Benefits Of Humidity Level Control For Cannabis
When relative humidity is maintained at optimal levels, the cannabis plants will benefit in the following ways.
Reduce chances of bud rot
High humidity levels create an environment where botrytis cinerea can thrive. Once bud rot occurs, it easily spreads to other plants and can destroy the whole canopy in no time. To make matters worse, bud rot starts discreetly from the inside as it gradually progresses outwards. By the time most growers detect this bud rot, the grey mold is far spread across the canopy. As an unfortunate result, the grower ends up losing an entire harvest.
Ensures the survival of the plants
When the air is too dry, cannabis flowers will close their pores to prevent excessive loss of water. This unfortunately reduces photosynthesis because the plants cannot obtain sufficient carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Within a short time, the plants will begin to wilt away and die.
Cannabis plants need adequate humidity in the atmosphere to thrive. Any fluctuations can hinder the development of the plants, causing them to die.
Trichomes are resinous glands found on the surface of cannabis buds. They convey the therapeutic compounds in weed, including cannabinoids and terpenes.
If the relative humidity is too low, the flowers will start to dry out. This will cause the trichomes to break off and separate from the buds resulting in diminished therapeutic value.
Adequate humidity control differentiates between regular and exceptional cannabis. Both extremes of humidity will create harsh and unpleasant smoke that doesn’t taste good. Buds preserved within the required humidity levels after curing will offer a gentle hit that’s gentle on the throat and palette.
